The new luxury golf carts at Zimbali Lakes Resort enhance the golfing experience.
Zimbali Lakes Resort has partnered with Club Car to provide 50 high-quality Tempo golf carts, enhancing the golfing experience at the newly launched Ernie Els Signature Course. The carts feature lithium-ion batteries, offering better performance, comfort, and efficiency for both members and guests. With advanced fleet management technology, the partnership aims to position Zimbali as a leader in luxury golfing amenities.
Zimbali, South Africa – Zimbali Lakes Resort, a prestigious corporate resort located 25 miles north of Durban, has partnered with Club Car to enhance its guest experience by supplying a fleet of golf carts. This decision comes on the heels of the resort’s recent launch of the 18-hole Ernie Els Signature Course and is part of efforts to provide better amenities for both members and visitors.
As part of this partnership, AFGRI, the official Club Car distributor in South Africa, has delivered 50 high-spec Tempo golf carts to the resort. These carts are equipped with premium features such as comfort seats and lithium-ion batteries, significantly improving the golfing experience. The Tempo golf carts are also installed with Visage, an advanced fleet management technology, offering golfers hole-by-hole information and in-car entertainment, making rounds more enjoyable.
The introduction of the Tempo golf carts is expected to elevate the golfing experience at Zimbali Lakes Resort radically. The performance of these carts has been reported as outstanding, with notable improvements in longevity due to the lithium-ion batteries. These batteries not only extend the operational time of the carts but also reduce turf wear, enhancing the overall condition of the golf course. Additionally, the new carts allow for quicker charging and faster turnarounds between rounds, providing a more efficient experience for the guests.
Wayne Krambeck, Senior Vice President at Zimbali Lakes Resort, emphasized the multiple benefits that the new carts offer, including the enhanced comfort that positively impacts both the resort and its golfers. This enhancement in service aligns with the resort’s commitment to providing luxurious experiences and top-notch facilities.
Zimbali Lakes Resort is not alone in its choice of Club Car as a golf cart supplier. The resort joins three other notable golf venues in South Africa that have chosen Club Car, such as Ruimsig Country Club, which transitioned from a competing brand to select Club Car, and Arabella Hotel Golf & Spa in the Western Cape that reaffirmed its loyalty to the brand. Cotswolds Downs Golf and Country Estate, also located near Durban, has similarly opted for Club Car to meet its golfing needs.
The Tempo golf cart is highly regarded in the industry for its exceptional hill-climbing capabilities and acceleration, making it a popular choice among prestigious resorts and golf courses. Customizable options are available for the Tempo, allowing users to choose color, seats, storage, wheels, and three programmable drive modes to optimize performance based on specific needs. This level of customization presents an attractive proposition for golf facilities looking to offer unique and personalized experiences to their patrons.
Nicolas Le Glas, Club Car Regional Manager for the Middle East and Africa, expressed excitement about the partnership and its potential to enhance golf offerings at top South African destinations through the introduction of Club Car vehicles.
The introduction of the Club Car Tempo fleet at Zimbali Lakes Resort is anticipated to significantly enrich the golfing experience, positioning the resort as a hallmark of excellence in leisure and sporting activities.
