Waipahu-based Bowers and Kubota Consulting has completed the acquisition of a prominent office building in Honolulu for approximately $19 million. The property is located at 1601 Kapiolani Blvd. and features a 12-story tower that spans nearly 75,000 square feet of prime commercial space.
The acquisition, finalized recently, involves Bowers and Kubota Consulting consolidating its various Honolulu-based services into this new office location. The company specializes in critical fields such as construction and project management, along with architecture and engineering services.
The seller of the building is Hong-Kong-based Shaw Foundation Properties, which has been a significant player in the local commercial real estate market. The transaction was facilitated by Colliers Hawaii, which represented Bowers and Kubota Consulting. On the other side of the deal, Pacific Properties Group represented Shaw Foundation Properties.
Constructed in 1991, the office building has remained a capable fixture in the industry and is considered relatively new by Hawaii’s standards. It hosts a diverse range of tenant businesses, including medical practices, dental offices, accounting firms, healthcare administration companies, and retail services. The building’s condition and ample parking facilities were noted as significant advantages, enhancing its desirability as a commercial space.
