The Grand Ho Tram Integrated Resort in Vietnam has unveiled an ambitious expansion plan involving a $1 billion investment, aiming to accommodate up to 18,000 guests daily. The development, named District Vui, will feature new five-star hotels, luxury villas, and a multi-sport complex. This initiative supports Vietnam’s tourism goals, targeting 100 million international visitors annually. Strategically located near the future Long Thanh International Airport, the resort is set to enhance its appeal as a key destination in Southeast Asia.
Ho Tram, Vietnam – A significant expansion project has been announced for The Grand Ho Tram Integrated Resort, Vietnam’s premier luxury destination, with a planned investment of US$1 billion. This initiative aims to broaden the resort’s appeal and boost its capacity to welcome up to 18,000 guests daily. The expansion will also support Vietnam’s ambitious tourism goals, targeting an annual influx of 100 million international visitors.
The expansion plan, unveiled in May, includes the development of new five-star hotels, luxury resort villas, a multi-sport and entertainment complex, a wellness and medical spa center, and an international convention and exhibition center. This new phase, named District Vui – Quận Vui, is designed to create an engaging environment for guests of all ages.
The Grand Ho Tram is situated on the picturesque coastline of Ho Tram, just a two-hour drive from central Ho Chi Minh City. It opened its doors in 2013 and has since become a sought-after venue for diverse events such as beauty pageants, combat sports, company retreats, and exclusive product launches. Currently, the resort boasts three hotel towers, including the InterContinental Grand Ho Tram with 543 rooms, Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach offering 561 rooms, and Ixora Ho Tram by Fusion featuring 164 residences and 64 villas.
With its rich array of recreational activities, The Grand Ho Tram caters to families and individuals alike. Visitors can enjoy 19 restaurants and bars, 9 swimming pools, and various entertainment options such as a cinema, karaoke lounges, and a dedicated Game Zone. Additionally, it offers direct beach access and water sports to enhance the guest experience.
Notably, the resort features The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram golf course, designed by renowned golfer Greg Norman. It is ranked 68th on Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses and has been recognized as Southeast Asia’s Best Golf Course for 2024, adding an extra allure for sports enthusiasts.
The planned expansion of The Grand Ho Tram is also strategically timed to coincide with the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport, located approximately 50 km from the resort. This airport is expected to greatly improve access to the region, making the resort an even more attractive destination for both international and domestic tourists.
The Grand Ho Tram’s modern facilities, which include a grand ballroom and flexible meeting rooms, provide the infrastructure necessary for hosting a variety of events. The resort aims to fulfill the growing demand for integrated event experiences in Vietnam’s tourism and hospitality sector, responding to the country’s increasing international visitor numbers.
Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has laid out ambitious objectives for the tourism industry, aiming for it to contribute up to 17% of the nation’s GDP by 2030. The expansion of The Grand Ho Tram is part of this larger vision and will play a crucial role in establishing Vietnam as a major player in the competitive Asian integrated resort market.
The Grand Ho Tram is positioned not just as a luxury destination, but as a key element in the broader development of Vietnam’s tourism infrastructure. The planned enhancements are set to elevate the resort’s offerings to meet a diverse clientele, thereby reinforcing its status as a leading integrated resort in Southeast Asia.
